In 2024, we officially launched the Randstad App – a cutting-edge, two-sided marketplace platform that gives job seekers unprecedented control over their employment journey, and provides employers with immediate, reliable access to a digital marketplace of more than 500,000 vetted, skilled workers.
In a market full of competing technology, the Randstad App offers employers and talent something different: ease of use, a customized experience and extraordinary matching capabilities. With Randstad’s deep understanding of the needs of both sides, jobs are filled with the right talent at the right time. Most importantly, the app offers all parties complete control over employment decisions any time day and night.
Shortly after its launch in September in the US, the number of downloads rose quickly from 100,000 to more than a half million in just four months. Now more than 56,000 people interact with the app daily.
This technology has given our clients greater agility and access to talent so they can confidently execute on workforce strategy, even during times of crisis. Our technology enables most requisitions to be filled within three hours, and our weekly fill rate in the U.S. has increased from 83% to 96%. For instance, a last-minute request from a logistics employer required quickly assembling a team. Mobilizing our recruitment support and launching the orders on the app enabled the client to fill all roles in little over an hour, ensuring dockwork would go on uninterrupted.
A client experiencing no-shows for its roles needed to fill a number of jobs the next day. Using the Randstad app, the order was filled by the afternoon.
These benefits aren’t limited to employers. Data shows that 41% of placements are made outside of traditional branch hours, affirming the need for access to jobs 24/7. Our app’s flexibility and ease of use has earned the technology a score of 4.7 out of 5 on the app store.
We aim to significantly increase the number of Ranstad App users in 2025 as we continue to evolve the technology. Through greater use of AI and data, we will enhance process efficiency, matching and fill rates, leading to greater productivity and satisfaction for all our app users.
