Randstad NV, the global leader in the HR services industry, announces a new Executive Leadership Team to be more closely aligned with today’s global talent communities and set the new standard in client centricity by further digitizing and harmonizing client service delivery. The ability to offer specialized services to both clients and talent will help accelerate the impact that Randstad can have on the working lives of people around the world.
When I began as CEO of Randstad this year, it was clear that the world of work is rapidly changing and we needed to address three key challenges. First, scarcity has put talent firmly in the lead. Second, securing the right talent is the number one priority of our clients. And third, our industry is digitizing at speed. With this new Executive Leadership Team we are taking a first critical step in addressing these challenges at scale, ensuring Randstad remains a strategic partner for its clients and becomes a partner of choice for global talent.
All appointments will be effective as of 1 January 2023 and the tiered governance of the Executive Board and Supervisory Board will remain unchanged.
- Chris Heutink will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for driving the performance of the business and ensuring that all talent and clients enjoy a consistent and exceptional experience wherever they are in the world.
- Michael Smith will become Chief Executive Randstad Enterprise Solutions and will focus on building long-term client relationships with the largest corporations in the world.
- Karen Fichuk will lead Randstad Technologies and will be dedicated to attracting and delivering specialist technology expertise, solutions, and talent to clients worldwide.
- To ensure client centricity in our local markets we will create four regional market groups. Dominique Hermans will be Chief Executive Northern Europe. Jorge Vazquez will be Chief Executive Southern Europe & Latin America. Karen Fichuk will also continue in her role as Chief Executive North America. Chris Heutink will continue to lead Asia Pacific.
- Marc-Etienne Julien will be our Chief Talent Officer and will make Randstad a partner of choice for global talent enhancing relevance, attractiveness, and leveraging digitalization at scale.
- Jesus Echevarria will be our Chief Client Delivery Officer and will evolve and build our client offering to ensure that our full range of services is delivered consistently throughout Randstad’s global operations.
- The following leaders remain in their current roles leading world-class functions to drive excellence at scale across the company: Henry Schirmer, Chief Financial Officer; Myriam Beatove Moreale, Chief Human Resources Officer; Martin de Weerdt, Chief Information Officer; and Joanna Irwin, Chief Marketing Officer.
- Finally, Rebecca Henderson has decided to retire from Randstad per 1 April 2023 to focus on supporting and creating strong female entrepreneurs and leaders. In Q1, she will work to hand over her responsibilities to the newly appointed leaders.
“We are very thankful for all of Rebecca’s contributions to Randstad and recognize the tremendous impact she has had on our clients, talent, and employees. I have no doubt that she will continue to make a positive impact for women in the workplace,” said van ‘t Noordende.
On behalf of the Supervisory Board, I would like to thank Rebecca for her remarkable contribution to Randstad over the last 11 years, in particular since joining the Executive Board in 2019. I would also like to congratulate all new Executive Leadership Team members on their appointments.
