Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality interventions, advice, and guidance to children, young people, and their families to prevent and reduce offending.
- Assess risk factors related to harm, re-offending, and offence-related needs, allocating targeted resources for youth offending prevention.
- Develop and implement effective programmes/interventions for children, young people, and their families.
- Manage a caseload, ensuring compliance with national standards for assessment and performance.
- Prepare detailed reports for court and other agencies in line with national standards.
- Conduct assessments, supervise pre-sentence interventions, and enforce sentences as appropriate.
- Provide care for young people serving Detention and Training Orders, including post-release supervision.
- Collaborate with partner agencies to reduce and prevent youth offending.
- Ensure all tasks meet National Standards requirements and achieve locally agreed targets.
- Adhere to Working Together guidance and local policies to safeguard children and young people.
To be considered for the Youth Justice role, ideally you will have:
- 1-3 years of experience in a Youth Justice role.
- Experience in preparing court reports.
