Randstad Education is partnering with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Southport to recruit a compassionate and motivated 1:1 Teaching Assistant. In this role, you will make a meaningful difference by supporting a Year 3 student with global developmental delay. The child benefits from a carefully tailored schedule that includes sensory breaks, ensuring a well-rounded approach to their learning and well-being. This term-time position offers the potential to transition into a permanent role.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support, focusing on the child's unique needs and fostering their growth.
- Assist the class teacher in creating and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.
- Encourage positive behaviour and manage challenges with empathy and patience.
- Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the child, addressing both emotional and academic needs.
- Monitor and document progress, sharing valuable insights with teachers and parents.
- Adapt to bespoke learning strategies, including sensory breaks, to enhance the child's experience.
- Contribute to a nurturing and inspiring classroom environment that promotes positivity and development.
What We're Looking For:
- A caring individual with excellent communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly those requiring additional support.
