show moreA well-regarded primary school in Penwortham is seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 2 Teacher to join our team. This full-time position is initially for one term, with the potential for extension based on performance and school needs. We are looking for a passionate educator who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Year 2 students in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess and track student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic and personal growth of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting, specifically with Key Stage 1 pupils.
- Strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
