Randstad are working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Watford, dedicated to providing an excellent education for all pupils. This school community is passionate about creating a supportive and stimulating environment where every child can thrive. The school are now seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher to join their committed team and are looking for teachers like you! This is a mixed year 1 and 2 class, with 30 children who are excited to continue their primary learning journey.
As a Year 1/2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to Year 1 and 2 pupils. You will plan and implement a creative and engaging curriculum, fostering a love for learning and ensuring that each child achieves their full potential. As this is a mixed class, you will need to have a good understanding of appropriately differentiating learning, as well as ensuring all learners are challenged and engaged.
This role is perfect for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to start their teaching journey or a more experienced teacher seeking a new opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons that meet the national curriculum standards for Year 1 and Year 2
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the wider school community
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching in KS1 is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
- Ability to inspire and motivate young learners
- An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, or willingness to obtain one
