Key Responsibilities:• Develop Japan health economics and HTA strategies for pipeline products that may be designated for HTA by C2H.• Oversee the development of submissions and manage the entire submission process for C2H Project management: Select, manage, and support relevant market access agencies to prepare and write HTA submissions and ensure the delivery of quality outputs on time. Effectively communicates status of projects to management and key business partners to keep them informed of project status, budget implications, etc.• Partner with the Global/International Value, Evidence and Outcomes (VEO) function in the development and review of health economic models and associated deliverables (model reports, SLRs, ITCs etc) to ensure they are suitable for the Japan HTA environment.• Represent the Health economics case and respond to queries at C2H expert organization meeting and post-submission questions• Review and monitor competitor/comparator HTA submissions for key insights• Provide HTA and health economics support to cross-functional Price, Reimbursement and Access (PRA) colleagues for effective internal stakeholder management• Provide HTA and health economic input into cross functional Marketing/ Medical brand teams• Ensure Real world evidence requirements for our brands are planned for from a HTA perspective• Provides input to strategic customer planning process and thought leader planning/mapping• Partners with other functions (e.g. PRA, brand teams, market planning, clinical research, corporate affairs, market research, medical information, regulatory, statistics, strategic pricing, etc.) to deliver collaborative work products (e.g., clinical protocols, label language, statistical analysis plan, etc.) that align the health outcomes strategy with overall brand strategy.• Environmental awareness: Maintain awareness of significant developments in the field, including current health outcomes methodologies and applications, therapeutic area developments, and other issues as appropriate for specific position responsibilities. The HTA Associate Director disseminates information about significant developments by providing accurate and understandable interpretations of these developments for internal stakeholders and provide recommendation to adapt of internal processes, if required. Maintains a presence and relationship with the research community related to health economics/HTA/HO
求められる経験
Required Experience:
• An advanced degree, including Ph.D., M.D., or PharmD/Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline (i.e., Health Economics Master’s or Medical/Pharmacy/Biostatistics degree with a strong component including health economics)
• 5years experience in pharma industry, consultancy or research in academia (i.e. health economics, observational study, epidemiology, real world data study, statistics, etc)
Essencial skill:
• Knowledge of technical aspects of health economic evaluation, including methods of cost effectiveness analysis, economic modelling, and assessment of patient quality of life and functional status would be important, as well as the ability to apply health economics principles to practical issues
• Business level in Japanese and English
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Flexible individual with customer focused and hands on approach.
• Self-starter and able to prioritize their own technical development/learning
• Demonstrated above average ability to think critically, analytically, strategically, and independently
• Attention to detail and the ability to see the big picture and prioritize
• Ability to influence others at higher levels in the organization
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to function independently handling multiple tasks.
• Strong project management skills
• Understanding of internal issues.
• Demonstrated proficiency in working cross-functionally
Desirable Skills:
• Previous experience of C2H or similar HTA systems
• Knowledge and experience of health care systems in Japan
• Knowledge of the pricing system in Japan
• Experience of multiple therapeutic areas or ability to grasp different therapeutic areas easily
• Strong business acumen and high learning agility
• Able to handle, initiate, and resolve conflict
• Demonstrated proficiency in working cross-functionally
• Pharmaceutical product launch experience
