Location: TATA Steel, Llanwern Works, Newport NP19 4QZ
Rate: £11.44ph basic with shift allowance (25%) £14.30ph
Contract length: 6 months initially
Shift Patterns: 37.5 hours per week, alternating weeks: Week one X4 12 hour shifts and Week two X3 12 hour shifts
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring material is dispatched as per clients request
- Loading and receiving goods on an inbound and outbound basis
- Adhering to Health and Safety at all times and encouraging others on site to do the same
- General housekeeping including but not limited to stock takes, quality checks, reporting damages
- Operating machinery as part of the role (training provided)
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience within a Warehouse or Production environment
- Ability to work as a team-player
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate
- Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
- Able to conduct manual handling duties including bending, lifting bulky items and being on foot for long periods
