My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Logistics & Inventory Manager to join their team in Taupo. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse logistics and inventory management, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods. This is initially a 6 month role with potential to extend or go permanent for the right person.
As an experienced warehouse and logistics coordinator you will be able to review current processes and provide advice in how to create efficiencies and optimise cost and lead times. In addition to this you will:
... - Lead and Manage Warehouse Operations
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Optimise Inventory Management
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems, ensuring optimal stock levels, minimising waste, and maximising efficiency.
- Implement Process Improvements
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline warehouse processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Review Existing Processes
- Proactively review and analyse current warehouse processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Explore and Implement New Technologies
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies and software solutions to further enhance warehouse operations and streamline processes.
- Supervise and Develop Teams
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of warehouse staff, ensuring high levels of productivity and performance.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders
- Work effectively with other departments to ensure seamless operations and meet customer expectations.
- Maintain Safety and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and compliance standards within the warehouse environment.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in warehouse management and logistics
- Has a strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices.
- Is proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Has a proven track record of reviewing and optimising processes to drive efficiency.
- Uses their experience and research to implement new technologies & enhance operations.
- Is an effective leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Takes a proactive and solutions-focused approach
