Randstad Canada is looking for a logistic supervisor for a warehouse located in Vaughan area. This person will be present on the floor with the employees and will manage a team of 15 to 20 workers. He or She will supervise, manage production and support employees. Versatility is therefore a highly considerable quality.
Monday to Friday
- Days: Mon-Fri (56am-3p), $30/h
- Afternoons: Mon-Fri (3p-12p), $30/h
overtime possible and paid time and a half

Responsibilities
The Logistic Supervisor's responsibilities will include:
- Supervise, coordinate and oversee day to day logistics operations (team of 15 to 20 workers);
- Plan and review, in collaboration with the Logistics Manager, all logistics processes, ensuring that they meet the company standards and customer service specifications;
- Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of the workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics;
- Accountable for site Key Performance Indication (KPI);
- Meet regularly team members on an individual basis to monitor progress towards meeting objectives, track performance, coach and counsel as well as recognizing team and individual successes;
- Carry out performance evaluations of the team members and recommend performance awards and/or merit increases when appropriate;
- Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary process;
- Understand labor agreement and maintain positive labor relations with all employees;
- Responsible for implementation of health & safety and security initiatives, practices and behaviors and adherence to company rules and policies
- Provide appropriate orientation for employees and Lead Hands and give them the information, technology and any material necessary to perform their jobs.
Qualifications
Skills expected of an excellentLogistic Supervisor :
-H.S. diploma/GED required
- At least 1 year experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment preferred
- At least 1 year direct supervisory/leadership experience required
- Clean criminal background
- Must have own safety shoes
- Willingness to be on your feet throughout the day
- Must have previous warehouse experience
- Forklift driver licence (an asset)
