Pay Rate: $22.87/hr
Working days: Monday - Friday, Shift is 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities
As an Underwriting Assistant, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
•Data entry in Guidewire (Policy Information)
•Delivering superior quality commitments and fostering a One Stop Shop environment for our broker partners.
•Serving our broker partners needs in a timely and informed manner.
•Exhibiting a high degree of integrity when representing Broker and while dealing team members and the leadership team.
•Entering data for New Business, creating Salesforce accounts, creating portal submissions, documentation within new submissions
•Maintaining new business trackers and ensuring a high level of data accuracy
•Processing new business binds, ensuring proper storage of documentation and communication, following up on outstanding risk items
•Completing risk follow ups with our broker partners and adhering to our abeyance system framework
•Working closely with leadership on work distribution, triage and SLA data builds
Qualifications
•Strong use of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is required
•insurance experience is an asset
•Familiarity with an office environment and the ability to work independently, with little supervision
•Demonstrated leadership capabilities
•Adapts to change and performs effectively under pressure
•Ability to multitask and monitor progress to meet deadlines
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify and implement solutions
•Execute with Excellence – cultivate collaboration between teams and between underwriting and other business units
•Will to Win – set a clear vision, welcome and support challenge and change, influence others, defy uncertainty and eliminate ambiguity
•Excellent oral and written communication skills coupled with confident decision-making and analytical skills
•Ability to learn new systems quickly; very tech savvy
