Responsibilities
The Transportation Logistics Analyst is responsible for the operational activities related to shipments from BHTCL and
from our business partners, in order to meet production schedules, as well as those for spare parts and development
programs.
- May be required to administer and create shipping documents for shipments outside Canada.
- Provides all necessary support to help the team achieve departmental objectives.
- Clarify the application of transport and customs guidelines with our internal and external suppliers and customers.
- Track priority shipments.
- Prepare and issue required import and export documents (CERS, Commercial Invoice, memos, etc.).
- Resolve various problems encountered during parcel delivery/shipping.
- Update various systems appropriately.
- Prepare job aids for logistics areas.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Provide all necessary support to help the logistics and transport team achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
- Review international shipment documentation to ensure compliance with company transport instructions and applicable
regulations.
- Make corrections (price, country of manufacture, shipping instructions, address, etc.) to delivery and shipping notes in
coordination with various internal customers (supply chain, engineering, etc.).
- Process and/or create commercial customs invoices in SAP-GTS to complete documentation for international shipments.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all shipments in accordance with current regulations.
- Coordinate master database updates with the International Trade, Compliance (GTC) department (country of
manufacture, customs classification, etc.).
- Coordinate and/or prepare the Canadian Export Declaration (CEDS) with our service provider.
- Prepare carrier bills of lading.
- Be the point of contact for the creation of the department's manual delivery orders (MSO)
Qualifications
- D.E.C. in transportation logistics. A BACC in operations and logistics management is an asset.
- At least 1 year experience in transportation logistics. Knowledge of incoterms and customs requirements.
- Good knowledge of SAP-ECC/GTS, particularly related to logistics transactions.
- Experience in export administration would be considered an asset.
- The incumbent must demonstrate a high degree of autonomy.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Access, Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook).
- Apply Bell Helicopter Textron policies, regulations, behaviors and principles (integrity, compliance, rigor & personal
discipline).
- Demonstrates rigor and a strong sense of planning, organization and priority management.
- Demonstrated excellent self-control in conflict and/or stressful situations, very good influence on others, constant positive
and constructive attitude.
- Excellent command of French is required
- Excellent command of English is required for this position, as it involves communication in English with Bell teams
outside of Quebec and/or its suppliers, partners, and clients outside of Quebec.
