Key Responsibilities
Transfer Pricing Advisory
- Provide strategic advice on transfer pricing policies to ensure compliance with both local and international regulations.
- Develop tailored transfer pricing frameworks that align with clients’ business models.
Documentation and Compliance
- Oversee the preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation, including local and master files, in line with OECD guidelines and local laws.
- Ensure timely submission of transfer pricing reports to meet regulatory deadlines.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing their unique transfer pricing needs with customized solutions.
- Facilitate client meetings to discuss transfer pricing strategies and provide actionable recommendations.
Analytical Reviews
- Perform financial and economic analyses to support transfer pricing studies.
- Evaluate market data and industry trends to establish arm's length pricing benchmarks.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on transfer pricing matters and fostering professional growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive tax solutions to clients.
Research and Development
- Stay updated on changes in transfer pricing laws and practices, assessing the impact on client operations.
- Contribute to internal knowledge-building initiatives and develop thought leadership materials.
Audit Support
- Assist clients during tax audits and disputes related to transfer pricing by providing necessary documentation and expert support.
Portfolio Management
- Manage a portfolio of client assignments, ensuring progress tracking and timely delivery.
- Report assignment status and outcomes to clients and senior management to meet deadlines and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (CTA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in transfer pricing, ideally within a professional services firm.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian transfer pricing laws and OECD guidelines.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
