• Laboratory procedures in a pharmaceutical clean room environment involved in the processing of vaccine and other biological products.
• Pack vaccines and other biological products
• Maintain stocks of laboratory consumable within the laboratories
• Preparation of eskies and boxes for vaccine dispatch
• Maintaining, calibrating and using testing equipment
• Preparing solutions, reagents, mixtures and media
• Cleaning and sterilising work areas, equipment and materials
• Undertaking observations such as recognising relevant species and identifying environmental conditions
• Preparing, collecting and managing specimens and samples
• Performing tests and conducting analyses
• Measuring and collecting analytical data
• Recording and documenting data using defined systems and methods
• Monitor, dispense, order, label and securely store and manage the safe disposal of chemicals and other substances required for scientific experimentation/investigation

Skills & Experience:

• Previous laboratory experience with a good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Previous experience within a pharmaceutical type of laboratory is desired but not essential
• Minimum qualifications of a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Biological Science (or similar)

It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider team's objectives of ensuring service delivery exceeds expectations.
