About the Company: A reputable construction company based in Isle of Sheppey that is dedicated to delivering high-quality projects with a focus on safety and efficiency, is currently seeking a skilled Telehandler Operator to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our construction projects, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the telehandler on site.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the telehandler to transport materials and equipment around the construction site.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks and delivery vehicles.
- Work closely with the site team to ensure materials are delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the telehandler to ensure it remains in optimal working condition.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate PPE and following safe operating procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, including storage areas for materials and equipment.
- Provide support with other on-site tasks as required, including general labour duties.
Requirements:
- Valid CPCS or NPORS telehandler ticket.
- Previous experience operating a telehandler on construction sites.
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual labour tasks as necessary.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
