Technical Sales Representative
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Technical Sales Representative to join our team. As an individual contributor working under limited supervision, you will apply your subject matter expertise to sell technical products and services to our clients. Your role will involve interfacing between our customers and various departments within our company, including engineering and program management, to ensure the seamless delivery of tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales of Technical Products: Sell technical products, services, installations, and configurations to assigned customers, ensuring that the specific technical needs and applications of our products are met.
- Technical Interface: Act as the primary technical interface between customers and company representatives from engineering, manufacturing, and program management, fostering strong relationships and clear communication.
- Customer Specification Research: Investigate and understand customer technical specifications and requirements, aligning them with our product offerings and capabilities.
- Technical Sales Briefings: Prepare and conduct detailed technical sales presentations for both customers and company representatives to highlight product benefits and solutions.
- Specification Development: Collaborate with customers to develop potential technical specifications, pricing considerations, and contract requirements that meet their needs.
- Sales Forecasting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports to support business planning and strategy development.
- Product Innovation: Explore new applications and potential improvements to our products in collaboration with customers, contributing to the innovation and evolution of our offerings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in technical sales or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to apply it within the context of customer needs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in preparing sales forecasts and managing customer relationships.
