Responsibilities
Product Vision and Strategy:
- Define and communicate the yearly product vision and strategy based on market analysis, customer feedback, and business objectives.
- Align the product roadmap with the company's overall goals and long-term vision.
- Align product vision and strategy with technology and product counterparts
- Enroll Team Product managers in the product vision and strategy for collaboration throughout the year
Requirements Gathering and Prioritization:
- Gather and prioritize product requirements from various stakeholders, including delivery teams, platform teams across digital, retail, international, etc.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical feasibility and constraints.
Feature Definition and Specification:
- Define detailed product features, specifications, and user stories based on customer needs, market trends, and technical considerations.
- Ensure that requirements are clear, well-defined, and actionable for the development team.
- Ensure that outcomes are clearly defined and measurable
Roadmap Planning and Management:
- Develop and maintain a yearly product roadmap that outlines key features, milestones, and release plans.
- Prioritize initiatives effectively to deliver maximum value to customers and stakeholders.
- Define value of roadmap items to consumers
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
-Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, program, product, marketing, and support, to drive product development and delivery.
- Drive alignment and clarity on requirements and priority to ensure progress towards product goals. Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical guidance around requirements to the product development team, leveraging expertise in software architecture, engineering best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Weigh in on informed decisions alongside the architect and staff engineer about technology stack, platform choices, and architectural design to meet product requirements and objectives.
Market Analysis and Competitive Research:
- Conduct market analysis, competitive research, and customer interviews to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
-Use market insights to inform product strategy, differentiation, and go-to-market plans.
Product Launch and Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Lead product launches and go-to-market efforts, including messaging, positioning, impact to dependent teams and enablement capabilities to drive adoption.
- Work closely with program team to develop go-to-market plans, celebration messaging as well as corrective messaging when off track.
Product Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor product performance, usage metrics, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Engage with customers regularly to gather feedback, validate product assumptions, and understand evolving needs and requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to foster loyalty, advocacy, and long-term partnerships.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
- Identify potential risks, dependencies, and obstacles to product success and support development team, architect and staff engineer by weighing in on mitigation strategies.
- Proactively support with priority insights on issues and challenges that arise during product development, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
Qualifications
• Years of Experience: 6+ years of experience
• Experience in: Technical teams (F/E, full stack, DevOps) on a Digital Web landscape
• Soft skills: detail oriented, communicative, collaborative, adaptable
