•A Technical Illustrator is responsible for developing technical illustrations in accordance with contractual and stylistic requirements.

•A Technical Illustrator is expected to collaborate with technical writers to collect data required to complete the illustrations to the customer requirements.
•When engineering source data is not detailed, the Technical Illustrator is expected to electronically draw the illustrations from technical drawings or photographs. In rare occasions the Technical Illustrator may be responsible for detailing engineering CAD models using Unigraphics NX for the purpose of illustrating.
•Content Management Systems are used for maintaining and managing electronic files (such as Technical Illustrations) IAW departmental and contractual requirements; a Technical Illustrator is expected to learn and follow Content Management practices.
•A Technical Illustrator is expected to manage their workload within schedule and budget allocations.

Responsibilities
Position Requirements Required Qualifications:
•College Diploma or University Degree in a related field
•Minimum 1-2 years technical illustration experience
•Strong engineering drawing reading skills
•Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
•Proficiency with Windows network environment and desktop office applications
•Proficient communication, organization and prioritization skills
•Dedicated to teamwork, agile and collaborative
•Ability to travel (5% CDN) and (5% US & Int'l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
•Working knowledge of Content Management Systems or electronic workflow tools
•Experience with Unigraphics NX and Teamcenter Engineering. Or experience with 3D CAD modeling tools
•Experience with IsoDraw or Creo Illustrate tools
