Technical Business Development Officer will focus on improving and strengthening Secondary Sales through
Identify, recruit and engage with masons and contractors within the assigned territory
Achieve monthly secondary sales target through existing influencer base and by onboarding new influencers
Build the sales pipeline by ensuring registration
Onboarding meetings for enrolling new influencers
Timely updation of influencers reward points
Regular tracking of active/ inactive, stagnant, degrowing masons/ contractors
Identify and implement strategies for converting inactive influencers to active influencers
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Educational QualificationKnowledge and Skill setDiploma/Graduate in any discipline (B.com, BBA, B. Tech, B.sc, etc.)
Technical:
1. Ability to use smartphones
2. Understanding of construction industry and familiarity with cement
products is an added advantage
Behavioral
1. Good communication and interpersonal skills- Demonstrates strong
communication skills (including local language) in order to write and
speak in a manner that commands attention and helps achieve
business results
2. Selling Skills: Demonstrates adequate selling skills (asking the right
questions to establish influencers’ needs; handling objections; closing
the sale etc.) while optimizing product mix by customizing proposition
in line with dealer requirements to drive sales / and get / retain sales

Experience required for the
role3. Strong negotiation skills- engage in discussions and make
compromises or agreements with others, typically to achieve business
objectives, resolve conflicts, or secure favorable terms in deals and
partnerships
4. Stakeholder Management- Demonstrates strong networking skills
(internal and external) to service the channel effectively
1-3 years with on field sales background. Prior experience in demand
generation roles would be an added advantageGood to have1. Business Acumen: Demonstrates strong understanding of key
business drivers and factors impacting business performance and uses
this understanding to ensure business continuity and growth
2. Market Intelligence: Demonstrates basic knowledge of customers
(market, processes and product applications), competition (competitor
activities, volumes, pricing, markets) and market trends (geographies,
product, consumption pattern, price trends, market segments) to
understand market potential and support formulation of appropriate
strategies
3. Product Knowledge: Demonstrates adequate knowledge of the
Dalmia products and production capacity (lead time, production plans,
yield, quantity) in order to hold first-level interactions with customers /
network partners
4. Digitization: Uses and encourages channel partners to use the
available digital platforms
