In this position as a Technical Accountant, you will be working alongside with a team and report into a Manager. You will be required to support the administration of reinsurance accounts and contracts, from establishing and maintaining contractual data, processing the insurance and/or reinsurance account bookings, claims handling and managing the related cash flow. This role also supports the underwriters in administrative activities related to the underwriting process.

The ideal incumbent is expected to clarify discrepancies of accounts and claims with internal & external stakeholders and following standard procedures under guidance. You will be involved in managing of cash flow including setting-up of client bank accounts in the accounting system, processing of outgoing/incoming payments and follow up on pending payments and open balances. You will ensure the compliance with sanctions and embargoes by scanning respective lists and forward to Underwriter/Legal for further investigation if needed.

• Knowledge on insurance and reinsurance, with keen interest in this sector
• Relevant experience in insurance or reinsurance sector with accounting and/or underwriting assistance and/or credit control experience preferable
• Excellent communication skills and team collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders and team members
• Advanced MS Office skills (focus on MS Excel, Power Query)
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
