Responsibilities:
As the Social Work Team Leader, you will:
- Lead a dynamic team of social workers and support staff, ensuring high-quality services for children with disabilities and their families.
- Supervise and mentor team members, fostering professional growth and promoting best practices.
- Oversee complex casework, ensuring that all interventions are child-centered, strengths-based, and aligned with statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with families, partner agencies, and other professionals to create tailored support plans that promote positive outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement through performance management, team development, and innovative approaches to service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with legal frameworks, organizational policies, and safeguarding standards.
Qualifications and registrations:
- Qualified Social Worker
- SSSC registered in the Social Work part of the register
- Substantial experience in children's services, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by children with disabilities and their families.
- Proven leadership skills, including supervising and developing staff and managing performance.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals.
- A thorough understanding of child protection legislation, safeguarding practices, and relevant statutory frameworks.
- A commitment to inclusion, equality, and empowering children with disabilities to achieve their potential.
