Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only
Join an independent Special day school, dedicated to creating a supportive and specialised learning environment for students aged 6 to 19 with a range of Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD) and Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD), including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated challenges. These students often face complex medical needs and sensory/physical impairments, and the school are committed to helping them manage sensory overload, anxiety, low self-esteem, low confidence, and difficulty with transitions.

Due to their expanding student enrolment and school provisions, they are seeking passionate Teaching Assistants to join their NAS-accredited specialist team, dedicated to improving life outcomes for their students and preparing them for adulthood.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support students in their learning, development, and progress across the curriculum in various settings, including the classroom, local environment, and community.
- Assist young people with diverse needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism, in achieving their educational and personal goals.
- Foster an environment of equality, diversity, and respect, ensuring all young people are seen as learners.
- Emphasise support and empowerment of young people.
- Enhance your understanding of Special Education issues and reflect the values of the school in your role.
- Provide high-quality support in all aspects of your responsibilities.
- Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines when necessary.
