As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers to create engaging lesson plans, provide one-on-one support to pupil's, and contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere. Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with class teachers to prepare and deliver engaging lessons.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Support pupil's social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and encouragement.
- Help to create a stimulating learning environment that is inclusive and supportive of all pupils.
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of classroom activities and resources.
- Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Liaise with parents and caregivers, providing feedback on pupil progress and supporting effective communication between home and school.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions to further professional development and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate with pupils, teachers, and parents.
- Capacity to assist with lesson preparation, classroom management, and administrative tasks with patience and empathy.
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs of pupils.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and manage challenging situations.
Requirements:
- An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
- Good knowledge of the UK national curriculum.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills.
