Seeking Compassionate Teaching Assistants: Help Children Thrive at Our Specialist SEN School
Are you a dedicated and caring individual who believes every child has the potential to shine?
...
We are a small, independent SEN school in Smallfield, designed specifically for children aged 7-16 with communication difficulties, typically associated with Autism Spectrum Conditions. We are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team in long-term and supply roles.
Creating a Path to Success for Every Child:
Many pupils arrive at our school having faced challenges in mainstream settings, often experiencing extended absences and falling behind academically. We provide a nurturing and understanding environment where each child is supported to overcome their unique barriers to learning and social development.
Here's how we make a difference:
- Re-engaging with Education: We work tirelessly to re-ignite a love of learning and ensure that every child can access and enjoy all aspects of school life.
- Tailored Support: We recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all approach. We constantly adjust and review the balance between academic study and therapeutic support to best meet each child's evolving needs.
- Focus on Independence: Our ultimate goal is to empower every child to live fulfilling and independent lives. While we prioritize preparing them for "real life", we also understand that additional therapeutic support is sometimes needed to get them back on track and ready to learn.
More than just a school:
We strive to be the leading provider and employer of choice, transforming the lives of children and young people in our community and beyond. We go the extra mile to understand the individual challenges and strengths of every student, crafting personalized approaches without limiting their aspirations. We celebrate diversity and firmly believe in providing every child with the tools they need to flourish. We nurture strong connections within Surrey and beyond to create a pathway towards successful adulthood for every student. Whether their path leads them towards higher education, vocational training, or a combination of both, we are there every step of the way, supporting them to achieve greater independence and become valued members of their communities. Our work is built on a set of core values: Caring, Ambitious, Collaborative, Trusted and Innovative. This translates to a supportive and enriching work environment where every team member's contributions are valued and celebrated.
What you can bring:
- Genuine Passion: A passion for working with children with special educational needs, fostering their love of learning and supporting their emotional well-being.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and embrace new challenges.
- Creativity & Enthusiasm: A desire to contribute fresh ideas and create engaging learning experiences.
If you're ready to embark on a truly rewarding career path, join our team and help us empower children and young people to reach their full potential.
