We are presently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic about providing one-on-one support to KS2 pupils. The school is located in the LS6 area of Leeds, and the position is full-time, from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8.30 AM to 3.30 PM.

Roles & Responsibilities:
... - Supporting KS2 pupils with special educational needs, the SEN Teaching Assistant collaborates closely with teachers and specialists to create personalised learning plans, catering to individual requirements.
- Build a trusting relationship with all pupils and communicate according to their understanding.
- They offer one-on-one assistance, adapt teaching approaches, and foster an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Through their dedication, they empower students with SEN to develop skills, confidence, and independence, leading to academic and social success in their educational journey.
- Provide opportunities for developing independence.
Requirements:
- To be a supportive member of the SEND team.
- The ability to handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding.
- A good understanding of the national Key Stage Curriculum.
- A sound understanding of child development and learning.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN setting is highly desirable but transferable experience is acceptable.
- Knowledge of various special educational needs and associated strategies.
- Eligibility to work in UK (No sponsorship provided)
- Hold an Enhanced DBS check or be prepared to acquire one through Randstad.
