We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Leeds. This full-time position is set to start in September and will run until the end of December.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Food Technology or a related field.
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to convey this to students in an engaging manner.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Food Technology for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets national standards and fosters a passion for food and nutrition.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment, ensuring that all practical lessons adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and contribute to the school's extra-curricular activities.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in food technology and education practices.
