About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our secondary school in Leeds. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, fostering their creativity and critical thinking skills. Essential Requirements

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Excellent classroom management skills.
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

Foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking in your students.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback to the students
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and share teaching strategies or resources.
Incorporate technology into lessons, using digital platforms and tools to enhance learning and communication.
Formative and summative assessment
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of teaching practices and subject matter.
Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development.
Engage with parents, carers, and the wider school community to promote positive relationships and student success
