Key Responsibilities:
Corporate and Personal Tax Computations:
Prepare accurate and timely tax computations for both corporate and personal tax clients.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and filing deadlines.
Analyze tax implications of different transactions and provide recommendations for tax optimization.
Employer and Employee Tax Returns:
Prepare and submit employer and employee tax returns, ensuring full compliance with the Income Tax Act (ITA) and other relevant tax regulations.
Provide advice to clients on employee tax matters, including benefits, deductions, and allowances.
Tax Advisory and Compliance:
Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations and communicate these changes to clients.
Advise clients on tax planning opportunities and how to maximize tax benefits.
Assist in tax audits and investigations as required.
Income Tax Act (ITA) Compliance:
Ensure all tax computations and returns adhere to the ITA, and provide guidance to clients on complex tax issues.
Familiar with tax laws and regulations, ensuring all submissions meet the necessary legal standards.
Client Management:
Maintain strong relationships with clients by providing clear and concise tax advice.
Handle inquiries regarding tax matters and ensure client satisfaction through professional service delivery.
Attend client meetings to discuss their tax positions and provide relevant updates.
CTIM Accreditation:
Utilize your accreditation from the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) to uphold the highest standards in tax services and advisory.
Positive Attitude and Client Engagement:
Demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude when managing tasks and engaging with clients.
Exhibit excellent communication skills and a pleasant personality to foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
Continuous Learning and Development:
Participate in training programs and industry seminars to stay up-to-date on best practices and the latest developments in taxation.
Requirements:
Accredited by the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM).
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in tax computations for both corporate and personal tax.
In-depth knowledge of Malaysia's Income Tax Act (ITA).
Proficiency in preparing and filing employer and employee tax returns.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex tax matters clearly.
A positive attitude with a customer-centric approach to managing client relationships.
