Job Overview:
The Tax Director is responsible for the leadership, strategic direction, and management of the firm's tax practice. The role focuses on providing high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of global clients, while driving team growth, operational excellence, and innovation in tax solutions. The Tax Director will ensure the firm remains at the forefront of changes in global tax regulations and client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive Client Outcomes:
- Lead the overall operations of the Tax practice, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and quality of service delivery.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to develop and implement technical learning content related to US tax and other international tax matters.
- Transform and grow the Tax practice by building networks with senior stakeholders and managing assignments across direct, indirect, M&A, and international taxes.
- Drive high-quality outcomes for clients through strategy execution, while anticipating and responding to complex tax issues across various industries and geographies.
2. Run Our Business Well:
- Contribute to and lead the execution of strategic priorities for the Tax practice, keeping a global mindset in all initiatives.
- Partner with internal teams to execute strategic and operational programs that enhance efficiency and client service.
- Support business development efforts by identifying new service opportunities, developing proposals, and expanding the client base.
3. Deliver for Our People:

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification (e.g., ICAEW, ACCA, MICPA-CAANZ, CPA Australia, CPA US) or Enrolled Agent.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in tax-related roles, with a strong record of leading sizable teams.
- Strong understanding of tax and regulatory requirements; US Tax experience is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of corporate financial statements.
- Proven experience in working within matrixed environments and managing multiple global stakeholders.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to influence and lead diverse teams.
- A demonstrated track record as a people-centric, transformational leader with a focus on team and individual development.
