The purpose of this role is to support a disabled student whilst they undertake their studies at University of East London Stratford Campus.
Required Times:
Term 2 Timetable starting 29th January:
Wednesdays - 10am-12pm
Thursdays - 10am-1pm and 4pm-5pm
Fridays 10am-1pm and 1pm-5pm
Key duties/responsibilities:
- To always be with the student on campus, this would include leaving the classroom during class if the student does.
- Liaise with members of faculty is required to.
- To support the student in getting to and waiting for their transport.
- To check in periodically with the student during class to see how she is getting on.
- Social support in order to ensure access to the wider aspects of student life
The student has ASC needs and so takes time to form relationships. The need for social support should decrease as the student becomes more able to manage independently. In all cases the assistant will need to liaise with the student in order to arrange locations/times etc. and to hold regular reviews with the student to assess how well the support is working.

Qualifications:
- Disability support training (provided by Randstad)
- Completion of e-learning suite (provided by Randstad)

- Patient and enthusiastic
Experience (Desirable):
- Experience of the Higher Education environment/experience
- Experience of supporting disabled adults
