Position: Support Worker
Location: Auchterarder
Contract: Temporary to Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
About Us:
We are a residential unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for adults with learning difficulties and autism. Our team is committed to creating a nurturing environment where individuals can thrive and achieve their full potential. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated support worker to join our team on a temporary to permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with day-to-day tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Engage residents in outdoor activities and recreational pursuits, fostering physical and emotional well-being.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each resident.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of belonging and community.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably within a residential care setting.
- Understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with learning difficulties and autism.
- Compassionate and patient approach to supporting vulnerable adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
