- Supply Chain Planning & Strategy:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with company goals, optimizing inventory levels, production schedules, and logistics.
- Forecast demand and plan supply based on market trends, production needs, and seasonal variations.
- Vendor & Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure reliable and cost-effective material supply.
- Evaluate supplier performance and manage issues related to quality, delivery, and service.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock, implementing best practices for material handling, storage, and quality assurance.
- Use inventory control systems and data analytics to make informed decisions on stock levels and reordering processes.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in supply chain management within the chemical, manufacturing, or similar industry.
- Proven leadership experience managing direct reports
