Are you an experienced Sub Agent seeking a new challenge within the water sector? Our client, a leading contractor, is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Sub Agent to oversee and manage subcontractor work across multiple packages on a key Southern Water project in North Kent.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and review the work of subcontractors across 2-3 packages at a time, ensuring adherence to design specifications, project requirements, and quality standards.
• Coordinate and monitor progress, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring packages are delivered on time and within budget.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, compliance, and safety performance.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site teams to maintain clear communication and resolve any technical or logistical challenges.
• Ensure subcontractors meet all health, safety, and environmental regulations in line with Southern Water standards.
• Provide accurate reporting on package progress, including updates on schedules, costs, and risks.
• Collaborate with the design team to address any discrepancies or technical queries that impact subcontractor work.
• Support the procurement team with input on subcontractor selection and evaluation.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sub Agent or similar role within the water sector or related civil engineering industries.
• Strong track record of managing subcontractor work across multiple project packages.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
• In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards within the construction and water sectors.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with subcontractors, site teams, and clients.
• Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (e.g., HNC/HND/BEng).
• Familiarity with Southern Water frameworks or similar utility projects is highly desirable.
