about the job
They are currently looking for a Student Service Officer to join the Student Life team within the Degree Programmes Department. This is a temporary contract for 6 months and full-time position, based on Asia Campus in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities will include
- Student Association (Club) Management
- Grows the concept of associations and establish integration with the wider school eco-system:
- Spearheads the club leadership transitions and evolves protocol and policies in collaboration with Student Council VP Clubs.
- Student Engagement
- Designs and conducts amphi presentations to the student bodies on relevant topics: Student Clubs and their structure, Club leadership elections and handover, and club funding.
- Advises students, in groups or individually, on club activities, processes and creation of clubs,
conferences and extra-curricular activities.
- Supports the organization, promotion and delivery of club activities, student-led conferences (also off campus), pre-recruiting, treks and extra-curricular activities.
- Manages information dissemination, planning and scheduling of activities and negotiates space and time for extracurricular activities.
- Reporting and budget control
- Obtains reports on conferences and events to be used for further promotional material.
- Holds budget responsibility and allocates funds to clubs and to students in support of case
Competitions.
- Media and Promotion
- Designs and maintains public websites for School Student Associations / Clubs
- Creates and curates content related to Student Associates serving as promotional material for marketing & recruitment (prospective students)
- Student Council VP Clubs and Global Clubs Presidents
- Actively collaborates with IAA VP Clubs to foster closer ties between Global Clubs and Student Club equivalent
- Establishes close relationships with Student Council VP Clubs to further evolve associative life, protocols and policies
- Degree Programme flagship events and other student life activities
- Is an integral member of the Student Life team and contributes to the day-to-day operations of the Student Life office
- Active contributor to delivery of major events such as Graduations for Degree Programme students and participants with the Events Senior Officers.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years work experience, preferably in customer service, or in a higher education environment
- Client service-minded, relationship builder and collaborative/team player
- Detail oriented and organized
- Culturally sensitive, diplomatic, and capable of handling difficult situations
