Job Summary
The Strategy Consultant will provide expert guidance and strategic insights to banking clients, leveraging deep domain expertise in corporate/commercial banking, payments, supply chain finance/trade finance, core banking, and post-merger integration. The ideal candidate will possess strong consulting experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to deliver high-impact strategies to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored strategic solutions.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement business strategies for clients in the banking industry, focusing on corporate/commercial banking, payments, supply chain finance/trade finance, core banking, and post-merger integration.
- Domain Expertise: Provide expert guidance and insights in various banking domains including:
- Corporate/Commercial Banking: Develop unified corporate portals, manage entitlements, design processes, and modernize channels using platforms such as Intellect and Backbase.
- Payments: Implement and migrate Swift, ISO20022, SEPA, and manage core payments and payment hubs using platforms such as GPP, EPP, Volpay, Volante Designer, OPF, TCS Bancs, and Cards (VisionPlus or TSYS).
- Supply Chain Finance/Trade Finance: Conduct current state assessments, optimize processes, select vendors, and implement trade and supply chain finance solutions using platforms such as Intellect, Premium Technologies, Finastra, and Surecomp.
- Core Banking: Assess current states, evaluate vendors, plan pre-implementation, and support core banking transformations using platforms like Temenos, Oracle, Thought Machine, Finacle, and BIAN architecture.
- Post-Merger Integration: Develop integration strategies, operating models, and change management plans, including data remediation, migration, and reconciliation.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to provide clients with innovative and actionable strategies.
- Project Management: Lead and manage strategic projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Thought Leadership: Contribute to the development of thought leadership materials, including white papers, articles, and presentations.

- Experience: Proven experience in a strategic consulting role within the banking industry, with expertise in corporate/commercial banking, payments, supply chain finance/trade finance, core banking, and post-merger integration.
- Platforms Knowledge: Familiarity with platforms such as Intellect, Backbase, GPP, EPP, Volpay, Volante Designer, OPF, TCS Bancs, VisionPlus, TSYS, Premium Technologies, Finastra, Surecomp, Temenos, Oracle, Thought Machine, Finacle, and BIAN architecture.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering practical and impactful strategies.
- Client Management: Excellent client relationship management skills and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications in banking or consulting are highly desirable.
