Responsibilities
Demand Analysis: Collaborate with business units to identify procurement needs and requirements.
Market Research and Strategy: Conduct market analysis, develop procurement strategies, and deliver financial and non-financial benefits (e.g., service levels, risk mitigation).
RFx Management: Prepare, issue, and manage RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, evaluating responses based on strategic criteria.
Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate, draft, and oversee contract execution while establishing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Supplier Relationship Management: Implement frameworks for managing key suppliers, negotiate strategic partnerships, and identify new suppliers in emerging markets.
Category Management: Develop and implement category strategies to achieve financial objectives, reduce costs, and manage risks effectively.
S2P Process Optimization: Lead the optimization of Source-to-Pay processes to enhance efficiency and user experience for all stakeholders.
Performance Tracking and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive tracking systems to monitor procurement performance, including RFx activities, spend under management, and supplier relationships.
Continuous Improvement: Develop best practices, RFx templates, and strategic procurement processes to foster a culture of innovation.
Internal and External Relationship Building: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, strategic suppliers, and other departments to achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in law, supply chain management, business management, commerce, engineering, operations, or a related field.
Core Skills: Proven abilities in verbal and written communication, analysis, negotiation, and project management.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; additional languages are considered an asset.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); knowledge of BI tools is an advantage.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the logistics market, particularly last-mile and mid-mile operations, is an asset.
Experience: 8-12 years of relevant experience in procurement, category and supplier management, purchasing, or materials management. Technical/manufacturing expertise or equivalent experience is an advantage.
Work Management: Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and manage shifting priorities.
Personal Traits: Strong entrepreneurial spirit, organizational skills, professionalism, and discretion.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and occasionally travel.
Platform Experience: Familiarity with Intake-2-Pay and Sourcing-2-Pay platforms is preferred.
Relationship Building: Skilled in stakeholder management and network development. Proven ability to analyze and present results clearly and consistently.
Independence and Teamwork: Ability to work independently while thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Adaptability: Comfort in navigating ambiguous situations and supporting multiple initiatives. Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
Project Management: A project management mindset for seamless execution.
Curiosity: Genuine curiosity to understand business needs and the impact of applied solutions.
Communication and Presentation: Strong and authoritative communication and presentation skills.
Time Management: Effective time management and personal organization skills.
Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated strong negotiation abilities and business acumen
