About the Company

Our client is a state-owned main contractor in China, and they have projects in China, HongKong and overseas counties. As their initiatives in Hong Kong grow, they are looking for a (Sr) building engineer to join their team in Hong Kong.

About the job

• Oversee the control of documents and drawings.
• Coordinate and prepare the master program or short-term work schedules.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants on construction details.
• Work with subcontractors to prepare shop drawings and method statements.
• Identify and resolve potential architectural design issues and interfacing details among various trades.
• Monitor site progress and coordinate with the Site Agent regarding work sequences and materials on-site.
• Prepare progress reports and submission schedules.
• Familiar with statutory and licensing requirements, such as BFA and CoP Fire Safety in Buildings.
• Coordinate meetings with clients, architects, and consultants for final inspections and submission of as-built drawings.

What you'll ideally have

• Degree in Building Engineering or equivalent;
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in building engineering.
• Able to liaise and co-ordinate with the employers, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers for developing construction details, monitoring site progress and conducting site co-ordination works;
• Candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Building Engineer.
