Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations—basically, the usual suspects of accounting.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy and finesse (no drama, just deadlines).
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, HST/QST returns, WSIB returns, EHT returns, and, yes, even Statistics Canada reporting (don’t worry, we’ll keep it interesting).
- Assist with tax filings and audits—external auditors love when you’re on top of your game.
- Be a budgeting and forecasting wizard, turning numbers into actionable insights.
Qualifications
- CPA or CPA Candidate
- At least 3 years of hands-on accounting experience—the kind that makes you say, “I’ve got this.”
- A solid grasp of GAAP and IFRS
- Proficiency in NetSuite ERP system is a must have
- Analytical and problem-solving skills that would make Sherlock Holmes proud.
- A good sense of humor to go with your attention to detail.
