A successful specialist support worker will be responsible for:
- Dedicate your experience and skills to support a teenager with autism and mental health issues
- Provide day-to-day support including activities, appointments, and family contact (driver's licence and business insurance preferred)
- Engage and encourage children or young people to participate in activities and establish structure
- Provide accurate reports to support care plans and goals
To be successful in your specialist support worker application, you will::
- Experience supporting children and young people in a residential setting
- Confidence to de-escalate situations and work with colleagues during heightened behaviours
- Prior CAMHS training desirable, but training will be provided
- Ability to make decisions and take action in challenging situations
- Strong communication and judgement skills
- Creativity in engaging and building trust with children and young people
- Commitment to maintaining personal and professional boundaries
Your commitment:

- Maintain availability for the duration of support required
- Take time to gain insight into the child or young person through relevant reports and profiles

- Driver's licence and business insurance preferred
- PVG or willing to support new application
- Registered with relevant regulatory body
- PMVA trained or willing to undergo training
