This is a well established and long standing SEN school it is highly regarded for its continued success and dedication to offering a pioneering education to their learners with high functioning ASC. This setting offers a award winning school setting to learners aged between 5 and 19 years of age and currently has 90+ pupils on role. The school would love to welcome with open arms a permanent SEN TA to support on a 1:1 and whole class basis. This role is needed Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30 daily, this is a term time only role. The school support and educates learners with Autism, Asperger's and other associated learning difficulties and are proud to offer a curriculum that is both creative, broad and encompasses recreational activities. The school are always striving for excellence and for this reason have recently been awarded the eco, healthy school award and been registered for the Arts Council. - Must be a resilient, caring and committed individual keen to support SEN learners in a education setting
- Care or Education experience desirable but not essential
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
Responsibilities:
- Supporting KS1- KS4 SEN learners on a 1:1, small group and classroom basis
- Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events
