About the Role
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners with special needs? We're looking for a dedicated Special Needs Education Support Partner to join our team in Berkeley. This is a full-time, permanent role in which you'll provide personalised support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and other learning needs, helping them build skills, confidence, and independence in a warm, inclusive environment.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Special Needs Education Support Partner, you'll work closely with both students and staff to ensure every learner has access to meaningful, engaging educational experiences. You'll provide tailored support, assist with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and help maintain a positive, structured environment where all students can thrive.
- Individualised Student Support: Offer personalised guidance and small-group support to help students engage with the curriculum and reach their goals.
- Adapted Learning Techniques: Collaborate with teachers to adapt lesson plans, making learning accessible, enjoyable, and inclusive for each student.
- Positive Behaviour Encouragement: Support the development of social and behavioural skills through a caring, consistent approach, fostering a welcoming classroom atmosphere.
- Progress and Feedback Reporting: Track and document student progress, sharing updates with staff and parents to support ongoing development.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Prior experience in special needs education or a related role is helpful, though we welcome applications from individuals eager to make a meaningful impact.
- Skills: Strong communication, patience, adaptability, and an empathetic approach to understanding each student's unique needs.
- Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English proficiency is preferred but not required for individuals with a deep commitment to supporting students with SEN.
