Wine Pairing: Recommend appropriate wine pairings for guests based on their meal choices and preferences.
Tasting Events: Organize and conduct wine tastings and educational events for staff and customers.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage wine inventory, ensuring proper storage conditions and stock levels.
Staff Training: Train restaurant staff on wine knowledge, service techniques, and proper wine storage.
Customer Engagement: Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests and sharing knowledge about wines.
Budget Management: Assist in budget planning for wine purchases and pricing strategies.
Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on wine trends, regions, and new product releases.
Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to promote wine sales through events and marketing initiatives.
Quality Control: Ensure the quality of wines served by monitoring pour sizes and serving temperatures.

skills & experiences required.

2+ consecutive years of experience in the western fine dining area
Completion of a sommerlier certification program (Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET etc) is required
Ability to speak, read and write Chinese/Mandarin required
Proficient in English
Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and engaging with diverse clientele
Ability to train and mentor staff in wine service and knowledge
Experience in promoting wine sales and upselling to enhance guest experience
