... - Design ICT solutions that are strategically linked to our client business needs and directions and support the IT digital strategy.
- Propose, initiate and develop new concepts and coordinate the prototype/feasibility development as directed.
- Communicate and foster strong relationships with key Curtin areas, strategic partners and vendors.
- Assist in developing an ICT Architecture vision and roadmap of business and technical change that reflects the University’s strategies and direction.
- Contribute to the IT planning and enterprise business architecture activities.
- Provide architecture work on major transformational ICT projects for the University.
- Provide architectural support and solution insights on Digital & Technology Solutions business engagements to assist with the identification and shaping of business outcomes.
- Develop working relationships with a variety of University staff and senior management at all levels University wide.
- Build strong and effective relationships with other Digital & Technology Solutions managers to engage them and gain their ownership in information systems strategy and architecture.
- Gain trust with the client project and technology development staff to guide projects through architecture and solution design.
- Represent Digital & Technology Solutions on University Steering groups / Working Parties and Committees as necessary.
- Actively build productive relationships with other Universities in ICT architecture.
- Actively build productive relationships with strategic partners, vendors and the information technology industry in strategic directions and ICT architecture.
- Undertake other activities which the incumbent might reasonably be expected to do, and which are consistent with the accountabilities and responsibilities as listed above.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all solutions meet the business needs while adhering to CIO strategic direction and enterprise architectures.
- Provide architectural support and solution insights on Digital & Technology Solutions business engagements to assist with the identification and shaping of business outcomes.
- Partner with the Engagement & Discovery team as well as the IT Operations team to ensure supportable solution designs the meet business outcomes.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- Significant experience and a high level of skill in the analysis, documentation and modelling of business concepts and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to identify where emerging technologies or methods may add value to an organisation’s business objectives.
- An understanding of ICT architecture & design approaches (e.g. concept, logical, physical) and able to apply a pragmatic and agile approach to solving business problems.
- The ability to facilitate and deal with conflict, political sensitivities, and complex stakeholder relationships at a middle management to executive level.
- Ability to prepare documents that are succinct and focused on the needs of the specific audience.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, determine own work priorities, work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated high level communication (verbal, written and presentation/facilitation) and interpersonal skills along with proven ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of Agile delivery frameworks and methodologies.
Desirable:
- Qualification in TOGAF 9.0 or later.
- Design solutions using low-code platforms
- Experience working in a higher education or large complex environment and an awareness of the uses of ICT within universities.
Work requirements:
- Criminal record check in accordance with the University's Criminal Record Screening Procedure.
- Interstate and/or overseas travel may be required.
- Ability to work outside of normal office hours when required.
