This role reports to the Enterprise Architect and is responsible for collaborating with other Solution Architects, Project Managers and stakeholders providing strategic direction and technical expertise in system integration, leveraging API platform management, integration design patterns, and ensuring seamless communication between various applications and services. The goal is to ensure that integration solutions align with business requirements and maintain scalability and maintainability of the system infrastructure.

Key Duties:

Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure solution architectures including integrations, security networks, certificates and authentication systems to support implementation of business systems across a variety of software and infrastructure platforms.
Develop current and future state networks, hosting and firewalls, addressing technical and security risks and resolving issues throughout.
Manage the deployment of updates and new features, author technical specifications, and systematically document user requirements.
Conduct architectural reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with governance frameworks and project requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop robust solution design through product lifecycles from current to future state support models.
Identify and mitigate architectural risks and issues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and frameworks to achieve optimal results and establish how they will affect domain and enterprise architecture.
Offer strategic advice on the evolution of the integration design to ensure resilience, relevance, and compliance with business needs.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

Proven experience in designing and implementing complex IT solutions.
Experience in implementing enterprise data and analytic initiatives.
Strong understanding of architectural frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
Expertise in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and related technologies.
Proficiency in software development and integration, including APIs, microservices, and SOA.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

Desirable:

TOGAF® or equivalent architecture framework certification.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture API management platforms and integration patterns.
Previous experience working in government agencies would be advantageous.
