Social Worker - Support and Protect Team
Location: Carlisle
Salary: £50 per hour
Working Hours: 37 hours per week.

Randstad Agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker, who is committed to providing exceptional care and support to vulnerable individuals and families within our community. Our Support and Protect Team plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and empowerment of those who need our help the most.
As a Social Worker in the Support and Protect Team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children, young people, and families, and implementing effective interventions to safeguard and promote their welfare. You will work collaboratively with other professionals, agencies, and stakeholders to deliver comprehensive support services that address the diverse needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of children, young people, and families to identify their needs and risks.
- Develop and implement care plans that prioritise safety, well-being, and positive outcomes.
- Provide direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis or at risk of harm.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including health, education, and law enforcement, to coordinate and deliver integrated services.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, reports, and documentation in accordance with organisational policies and legal requirements.
- Participate in regular supervision, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our services through feedback, innovation, and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work).
- Registration with the appropriate regulatory body (SWE)
- Proven experience working with children, young people, and families in a social work setting.
- Strong understanding of child protection legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent assessment, analytically, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
- Resilience, flexibility, and the ability to manage a demanding and varied workload.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
