Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Intervention:
- Conduct thorough assessments of children and families, identifying risks and protective factors to develop effective safeguarding plans.
- Work closely with families to provide support, guidance, and intervention to promote the safety and well-being of children.
- Manage a caseload of complex safeguarding cases, ensuring that all actions comply with statutory requirements and best practices.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners, including education, health, and law enforcement, to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
- Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, case reviews, and multi-disciplinary meetings, advocating for the best interests of children and families.
Monitoring and Review:
- Regularly review and monitor cases to ensure effective interventions are in place and that children's needs are being met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with local and national standards.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated on relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in safeguarding and child protection.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Care Wales
