Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment and Intervention:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of children and families, identifying risks and protective factors to develop effective safeguarding plans.
  • Work closely with families to provide support, guidance, and intervention to promote the safety and well-being of children.
  • Manage a caseload of complex safeguarding cases, ensuring that all actions comply with statutory requirements and best practices.

• Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners, including education, health, and law enforcement, to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, case reviews, and multi-disciplinary meetings, advocating for the best interests of children and families.

• Monitoring and Review:

  • Regularly review and monitor cases to ensure effective interventions are in place and that children's needs are being met.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with local and national standards.

• Professional Development:

  • Stay updated on relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

• Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Care Wales
