Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring adherence to the Children and Families Act 2014, with a focus on fully understanding the unique needs, risks, and strengths of children in care, particularly those with disabilities.
- Collaborating with families, healthcare professionals, educators, and other relevant services to gather a complete and well-rounded view of each child's situation.
- Managing a diverse caseload of children with varying disabilities, making sure that their care plans are continuously reviewed and updated to reflect their changing needs and progress.
- Identifying and responding to any safeguarding concerns, taking prompt action to protect children from harm, abuse, or neglect.
- Championing the voices of children and young people, ensuring their opinions and wishes are central to all decisions regarding their care and support
