We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Children's Mental Health Social Worker to join our dynamic team. The Children's Mental Health Social Worker will play a key role in providing assessment, intervention, and support services to children and young people experiencing mental health challenges. £35 per hour hybrid working available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people experiencing mental health concerns, utilising a holistic and strengths-based approach.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with children, young people, their families, and other relevant stakeholders, focusing on promoting resilience, recovery, and well-being.
- Provide therapeutic interventions, counselling, and support to children, young people, and families, utilising evidence-based techniques and approaches.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including mental health professionals, educators, health care providers, and community organisations, to ensure coordinated and integrated support for children and families.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of children and young people within the mental health system, ensuring access to appropriate services, resources, and support networks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress in accordance with organisational policies and statutory requirements.
- Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance practice skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Previous experience working as a social worker in children's mental health services, with a focus on assessment, intervention, and support.
- Strong understanding of child development, mental health disorders, and therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a diverse caseload.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and best practice standards.
