Position Title: Children and Family Assessment Social Worker

Key Responsibilities:
... Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families referred to the service.
- Gather and analyse information from various sources, including interviews, home visits, and reports from other professionals.
- Identify risks, needs, and strengths to inform decision-making and care planning.
Care Planning:
- Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans for children and families.
- Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure that plans are tailored to meet the specific needs of each child.
- Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Intervention and Support:
- Provide direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis.
- Connect families with appropriate community resources and services.
- Offer guidance and advocacy to ensure that families receive the necessary support.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other professionals, including healthcare providers, educators, and law enforcement, to coordinate services.
- Participate in case conferences, strategy meetings, and reviews to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare.
- Foster strong working relationships with community organisations and agencies.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, care plans, and interventions.
- Prepare detailed reports for case reviews, court proceedings, and other relevant processes.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and organisational requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Fully qualified social worker within the UK
Registrations:
- Registered with Social Work England
Experience:
- Previous experience in child and family services, child protection, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Strong assessment and case management skills.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases.
- Empathy, resilience, and a commitment to child welfare.
Minimum Requirements:
-SWE Registration
-2 year post qualifying experience within UK
-Eligibility to work in the UK
