Role Overview:
As a Social Worker in the Adults Safeguarding Team, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of vulnerable adults who may be at risk of abuse or neglect. You will work closely with individuals, families, carers, and other professionals to assess needs, develop and implement care plans, and ensure the safety and well-being of those under your care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of adults at risk to determine their needs and level of risk.
- Develop, implement, and review safeguarding plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners.
- Provide support and guidance to adults at risk and their families, ensuring they understand their rights and options.
- Work in partnership with other agencies and professionals to coordinate effective responses to safeguarding concerns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.
- Participate in safeguarding meetings and case conferences, presenting information clearly and effectively.
- Stay informed about relevant legislation, policies, and best practices to ensure compliance and high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Social Work or equivalent.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in adults safeguarding or related field.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Excellent assessment, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and professionals.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
Minimum Requirements:
-SWE Registration
-2 year post qualifying experience within UK
-Eligibility to work in the UK
